The Right to Our Justification

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

In the Bible Byte titled The Right to Our Reconciliation we studied that Jesus died for our sins so that we may be reconciled back to our heavenly Father. Nevertheless, when we Christians focus all our emphasis on Jesus dying for our sins, we can miss so much of the spiritual truths, for Christ Jesus was also raised up. The spiritual life that we now have with our God is specifically based on the truth that Christ was indeed raised up, completing the work of salvation for humanity. It is in the completed work of Christ in which we now have our complete justification of life, eternal life, and this is the underlying theme of the Church Epistles.

Romans 4:25 – Who {Jesus Christ} was delivered {unto death} for our offences {our sins}, and was raised again for our justification.

He was raised for our justification. Justification is a legal right that God now gives to His children because Jesus gave, offering himself for our sins and carrying our sins to the cross. He was the propitiation – the completed payment for our sins as he died for our sins. Then three days later, he was raised so that God could give us justification in obtaining our eternal life. Justification means just as if we have never sinned for our sins have been purged. We are permanently justified to accept the life that God can now offer us because of the completed work of Christ.

Hebrews 1:3 – Who {Jesus Christ} being the brightness of his {God’s} glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he {Jesus Christ} had by himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Jesus Christ was God’s ambassador to the world, “for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The word purged means the complete purification of sins (our sins), thus when Christ was raised up to the right hand of God, our compete justification was freely offered to us as a spiritual and legal right to stand pure before our heavenly Father.

Everything that Jesus Christ did while here had purpose and reason; nothing was done by happenstance. His mission was to redeem man completely so that he could present us to God completely free to walk in God’s grace. We have obtained heavenly ordained rights for we are permanently sanctified, redeemed, righteous, reconciled, and justified to accept our deliverance, and our Savior from sin.

I Timothy 2:5-6:
-5:  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
-6:  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus Christ was the complete ransom for all the people in the world, and it certainly is due time that his finished work is attested to simply by our daily living it. We can humbly accept in thankfulness all that he has done, and fearlessly walk with God, having our complete justification of life to a greater dimension than was ever known or realized before our receiving God’s healing Word.
