Endowed with Mercy

I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service– Romans 12:1. Mercy means that judgment has been withheld, judgment that is rightfully due and should have been pronounced, has now been denied us by God Himself. This is why we can honestly present our bodies to God. The body means our inner self with all our frailties, hopes, and dreams. We are currently equipped in the joyful knowledge of being risen to a new life with Christ, a life that can be lived without condemnation, clothed in God’s own righteousness and standing. It is only by the mercies of God that we may be so bold as to fearlessly present ourselves to the Judge of all Who acquitted us of all sin, endowing each believer with the mercies of and from the Creator of life.” ~LMJ~
