Our Christian Neighbors

“We should be so blessed that God called us individually to His gracious Word, and be happy for all of God’s children. Jesus said in the Gospel of John 10:16, And other sheep I have which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. It is futile to worry about what other people may think or believe in other Churches. We Christians could be much kinder, happier, and gentler, Christ-like people if we were more concerned about ourselves rather than worrying about what our Christian neighbors might practice or think (Galatians 6:10). Besides, what other people practice and think is honestly between them and God, and we really do not know for certain what people think in the heart of their hearts.” ~LMJ~

How to Be Pleasing to God

“Hebrews 11:6 reads that without believing faith it is impossible to please God. I sincerely wished that someone had shown this verse to me as a child because I could have saved countless hours trying to figure out how to be pleasing to the Creator. I never knew all that was required of me is to believe. By the simple decision of the mind to believe, I could have been pleasing to God all along. However, and thankfully, now I know how to be actively pleasing to God and how to be rewarded for my believing.” ~LMJ~

Love – in the School of Life

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile– I Peter 3:10. The greater teaching that comes from God is that as we learn from Him to love others, by this we will be experiencing the compassionate love God has for us individually, in that He, in love, sent His only begotten Son for our salvation which is the greatest act of love ─ ever. A great reciprocal response for receiving this wonderful gift is for us to love in return as we are Taught of God to be the kind of people I Peter 3:10 inspires!” ~LMJ~

The Witness of God Is Greater

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

I John 5:9:
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

“The witness of men” represents the evidence or proof that we exist. For instance, we have our birth certificates, our driver’s license, and even pictures witnessing to the fact that we are here. Yet God’s Word claims that His witness is even greater than ours. The witness that God is, was proven and truly testified by His Son Jesus Christ who continuously revealed God to the world (John 17).

I John 5:10:
He that beliveth on the Son of God hath the witness {not in our wallets, but} in himself: he that believeth not God {the witness that the Word of God claims we have within us} hath made him {God} a liar; because he beliveth not the record that God gave of his Son.

By the decision of the human mind to believe, God places within the very hearts of men and women His own witness, for God gives “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

I John 5:11:
And this is the record {“the record that God gave of his Son” verse 10 above}, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

Having the son of God is having eternal life, and this is the greater witness, it is having the witness of God within our very heart and soul.

I John 5:12:
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

So the question arises, do we have the Son? The answer is one that each person individually must make on his or her own. If we believe and confess in Romans 10:9-10, then we are saved and have the Son of God in our hearts, and thus we will indeed have the true witness of God.

I John 5:13:
These things {above} have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know {not question or doubt} that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God gives us the gift of eternal life and this life is in His Son, and His Son is in us. This is the witness of God that is greater than the witness of man. Have a wonderful day knowing in your own hearts that you have the greatness of God’s divine witness within that allows peace of mind by the assurance of also having the Son and eternal life.

Our Reserved Seating at Heaven’s Throne!

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life- John 3:15-16. What inestimable value and benefit to know for a surety that we not only have eternal life but also our reserved seating at heaven’s throne! Jesus (who is already at the throne, interceding for us), he is our true spiritual fountain of life-giving water offered by our Lord. Jesus reveals the caretaking qualities of God to searching hearts of men and women who come to God through him.” ~LMJ~
