It Is Not Hide and Seek – It Is Seek and Find!

“Jesus said, whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you– John 15:16. We have come to understand how wonderful God is to the genuine seeker through the words of His son: I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek {SEEK}, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you– Luke 11:9. And in the actual search, one finds him who is doing the very same thing, and who said that he was also seeking: For the Son of man is come to seek {SEEK} and to save that which was lost– Luke 19:10. And when seeker finds seeker, there is a meeting of the minds which leads to a synergistic meeting of the mind and will because Christ is he who introduces one to the ultimate Seeker, as Jesus told the Sychar women at the well in the region of Samaria, the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him– John 4:23. All it takes is being humble enough to want to be found and to ask God for His help in Christ’s name.” ~LMJ~

The Spirit Within

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

Once we have received our salvation, it can never be lost or taken away for any reason, contrary to how some think and teach. Romans 10:9-10 shows us how to receive our eternal salvation, while the rest of the Bible basically shows us how to enjoy our salvation.

II Corinthians: 1:22:
Who {God} hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit {the free gift of holy spirit} in our hearts.

When God seals a man or a woman, they are sealed for life, for all of eternity, and it is God alone Who securely seals men and women. What God has sealed up, stays sealed. God placed “the earnest of the spirit in our hearts,” from where we made our confession unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). An earnest is like a token, or a guarantee of even more to come (much more). The earnest of the spirit is a deposit given to men and women by God, and what He has given cannot ever be taken away (Romans 11:29). God only gives good things (like the spirit) to those of us who ask Him (Matthew 7:11).

We have the sure guaranteed token of the spirit to enjoy now; and the sheer enjoyment of learning about the earnest of the spirit and the subsequent life with God that accompanies it is a daily adventure. We can currently enjoy our spiritual life with God until our total redemption into the heavenlies. Then men and women will receive the full endowment of the earnest to become completely clothed with their new indestructible eternal bodies (I Corinthians 15:54). We will receive these new bodies at the gathering together (I Thessalonians 4:13-18); however, today God has sealed us as heaven’s holiest. We have the earnest of the spirit in our hearts, and the future assurance of so much more to come from our heavenly Father.

II Corinthians 5:5:
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing {our salvation, heaven, and our new bodies given to us at the return of Christ} is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit {the holy spirit}.

So today, please enjoy your eternity, for God sealed you, and guaranteed you the complete fulfillment of His promise because you have the earnest of the spirit within your very hearts.
