God Hears Us

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

I John 5:14 – And this is the confidence that we {can} have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Notice that John states “if we ask any thing according to his will.” Knowing the will of God becomes significantly important when wanting to request and receive anything promised to us in God’s Word. Once we become acquainted with God’s Word, the Word itself will begin building our confidence and believing faith so that when we do ask God for something we will know that God hears us. Then we can not only expect what we ask from God, but we will also receive from Him as well.

I John 5:15 – And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

“Whatsoever we ask” is quite incredible, because when we ask for anything in God’s Word, we will have the actual petitions that God desires to hear. The more we realize that God hears us, the greater our believing becomes, and the more we will receive from Him.

Psalm 36:5-10:
-5:  Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and they faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
-6:  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
-7:  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
-8:  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
-9:  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
-10:  O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

As our confidence in God’s Word grows in the heart of our hearts, then the blessings in His Word (like those in the Psalm above) can become for us realities.

In time, we can find ourselves not simply looking at the Bible as mere words on a page, but rather, we can find ourselves immersed in them because we will know that God hears us, and with that renewed confidence we will begin enjoying all the blessings of God (Ephesians 1:3-4).

Have a great day building confidence in God’s precious Word to you, knowing that God indeed hears you.

His Precious Treasures

“We have received a heavenly treasure deep within our souls, in mortal earthen vessels, a treasure that reveals the words of God to our minds and understanding proportionately to our acknowledgment that God has given us the power to receive from Him, and He alone reveals His precious treasures (I Corinthians 3:6, II Corinthians 4:7, and Colossians 1:27), that being spiritual and eternal (I Corinthians 2:12, II Corinthians 1:22, 5:5, and II Timothy 1:7).” ~LMJ~

How Would You like a Guaranteed Good Day? See-Esther!

“The Book of Esther likens their [believers’] deliverance and salvation to that of being a very good day- Esther 8:17. When we come to know our personal Lord and Savior, every day becomes a very good day, and one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day– II Peter 3:8. Just to spend a moment of one day with the Lord is more valuable and precious to him than one’s entire lifetime spent in unbelief and rejection. This is why our good day is having, knowing, and believing that we have salvation and eternal life, for we will ever be with the Lord. We can find the Golden Thread [of Jesus Christ] woven throughout the Book of Esther for he is typified as our Savior through the lives of both Mordecai and Esther; they enjoyed their deliverance with an abundance of good days and so may we. Today, when we invite Jesus Christ into our lives, we will also have God’s light that brings gladness and joy into our days because of our believing on the Savior. God Himself honors each and every child of His: I will deliver him, and honour him– Psalms 91:15. What a wonderful day it is to know that we can walk in the light of God’s healing Word, endowed with the laureled honors of our Creator. The Bible says that we have the day star- II Peter 1:19 rising in our hearts, and that we are the children of light, and the children of the day– I Thessalonians 5:5, for with God every day can become our good day!” ~LMJ & CAJ~

Blessed Forever and Ever

“Jesus said blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed- John 20:29, for in believing the sky is the limit! You are God’s best, His loved ones, His precious children, and you are the reason Christ came in the first place. He has redeemed you, and made available to you a new life that has a beginning (when you were saved) and now has no end, and this is why you are eternally blessed of God forever and ever!” ~LMJ~
