You are Accepted in the Beloved

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

The Epistle of Ephesians is the greatest revelation ever given to the Church of God, and believers collectively make up the Church of God – we are all members within the spiritual body of Christ. Ephesians shows us the greatest present ever presented to mankind and contains the doctrine (the right believing) of what God has currently given to us. Ephesians shows us how to conduct our lives within the framework of having received the love of God. The first three chapters of Ephesians lays out in great detail what God has given to us, showing us how we are permanently accepted in the beloved, and that we are endowed with the riches of God’s lovingkindness. The last three chapters are the prACTical side of the doctrine showing us how to utilize and walk within the magnificent graces of God that is upon our lives.

Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

“Heavenly places” means all heavenly things, God has blessed us with all heavenly things and it is the Epistles that show us these heavenly things. Romans shows the believer that he was raised with Christ to a new life with God. Ephesians, being the second Epistle of doctrine, picks up where Romans ended and shows the believers that they are blessed in and with heavenly things because we are spiritually seated up where Christ is at God’s own right hand, for we are “in Christ.”

Ephesians 1:4 – According as he {God} hath chosen us {to be} in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in {His} love:

God Himself chose us before the foundation of the world with a purpose, and that purpose is that we “should be holy and without blame before him in love,” and this we are. The word “should” is in relation to the attitude of our hearts, the attitude that God desires that we should see ourselves as God does, holy and without blame, seated before Him in His unending love. When we begin to see ourselves in this elevated and esteemed state in which God has placed us, then life truly begins to take on a whole new meaning, knowing that we truly are blessed with all spiritual blessings immersed in the wonderful love of God.

Ephesians 1:5 – Having predestinated us unto the adoption of {God’s} children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Predestination relates to our calling, our being chosen before the world began to become God’s children, and this happened because of the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. Becoming God’s own children is the good pleasure of His will, which is freely offered to us in grace.

Ephesians 1:6 – To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein {God’s grace} he hath {past tense} made us accepted in the beloved.

God made us totally “accepted in the beloved”; the beloved is Jesus Christ, for we are now eternally in Christ. The words “made us accepted” means highly favored. These are the same words in the Greek Text that the Angel used for Mary in Luke 1:28, for she conceived the Son of God. We also have received the seed of Christ, (not for 9 months, but forever), thus we are highly favored of God. This is the greatest present that God ever gave to humanity, and is our joy and privilege to know that we have received the greatest gift ever given, and it is ours for eternity.

Numbers – Revealing Our Morning Star

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

Numbers 24:17a – I shall see him {this is a prophecy of Jesus Christ}, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, . . .

The “Star out of Jacob” is a reference to the birth and life of Jesus Christ. “Jacob” is the father of the tribe of Israel, he had twelve sons each one being one of the tribes. From Jacob would come this prophesied Star, who was unseen at the time of this revelation, yet this Star gave them hope in his future coming. Mary the mother of Jesus was in the bloodline of her ancestor Jacob. In Revelation 2:28 the Star is further identified as “the morning star.”

Revelation 22:16 – I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches {the things recorded in Revelation}. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Jesus Christ identified himself as not only the “morning star,” but as “the bright and morning star.” He is now “bright” because today we can clearly see him through the Scriptures, and as we handle the Scriptures in the light that God’s Word truly reflects in our hearts we currently may also “behold him,” in the fiber of our entire beings, for Christ is in us (Colossians 1:27).

I John 1:1-3:
-1: THAT which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
-2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness {in our hearts}, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
-3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

John is explaining that the believers today in God’s divine and revealed grace can see, hear, and handle the revealed Word of life because Christ the living Word and prophesied Star of God is now alive within our hearts. It is interesting to note that at one time when Lucifer was the angel of light before his ill-attempted overthrow of heaven, he was called the “son of the morning” in Isaiah 14:12, and “son of the morning” means the morning star. Jesus Christ has the illustrious title and prestige that the angel of light, the morning star, once had.

II Peter 1:19 – We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star {the bright and morning star} arise {Where?} in your hearts:

Because we have Christ within, we have the morning star arising in our hearts, and the more we look to Christ in the Scriptures the greater the arising of the morning star appears, the brighter he shines in our lives.

Today, having the morning star is an awesome understanding and privilege, he was prophesied, foretold of, anticipated, and hoped for, but today we in God’s grace have access into the spiritual realities of all that was prophesied, foretold of, anticipated in, and hoped for, because we now have the God given right to enjoy the continued rising of our bright and morning Star ─ Jesus Christ. We have the tender mercies of God to know the “sunrising” of His Son within.

Luke 1:78 – Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring {sunrising} from on high hath visited us.

The Greatest Right We Have

John 14:13-14:
-13: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
-14:  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I {Jesus Christ} will do it.

John 15:16b: – …that whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he may give it you.

“The greatest right we have is the privilege to use the name of Jesus Christ. We can use his name in prayer and be assured of a positive answer, and we can use his name in the giving of thanks for God’s abundance. Believing in the name of Jesus Christ brings great things to pass in our lives. Using the name of Jesus Christ produces signs of encouragement for and to the individual believer, works miracles of loving comfort to our inner souls, and energizes wonders that exhort us to the worthy endeavors and exploits promised us in God’s Word.” ~LMJ~

God Honors All Y’all!

“Today, no matter where we are, we have a real spiritual connection with the Father in the garden of His delight wherein He supplies our sufficiency in Christ in us as He continues to deliver and honor us. He {you and me} shall call upon me {God}, and I will answer him: I will be with him in {or through} trouble; I will deliver him {from trouble}, and {I God will} honour him– Psalms 91:15. WOW – God honors us – what a rarefied privilege bestowed on those who call upon God!” ~LMJ~

Direct Access

“Man on his own efforts can tap into believing and ascertain that there is some kind of power behind his believing, but he will never come to know the source of the power without coming to know God. Jesus said in essence that, it will rain on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45), meaning everyone has the same ‘chance’ in this life to believe, for God’s spiritual Law of believing is equally available to everyone. But when God becomes your Father, you also have the blessed privilege to believe in God’s own power, because you will have direct access into the living room of the Lawgiver: God (Romans 5:1-2, Ephesians 2:19)!” ~LMJ~
