Predestination (Our Blessing and Our Choice Along with Our Destiny and Future Inheritance – It Is a Done Deal – Yay!)

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

Paul wrote that it was God who “separated me from my mother’s womb {recall He “lighteth every man that cometh into the world”― John 1:9, and David wrote, “thou art my God from my mother’s belly”― Psalms 22:10}, and {God} called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me” (Galatians 1:15-16), just as He separated YOU, and called YOU, and revealed his Son in YOU! Talk about Planned Parenthood, He preordained it, and has seen that it would happen, and further He predestinated your future to be super glorious with “an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you” (I Peter 1:4). He is the giver of all life, God “holdeth our soul in life” (Psalms 66:9) because we are in the hollow of His hand. “In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind” (Job 12:10)!

And by the way, being preordained and/or predestinated has nothing to do with having no choice in the matter and that everything that we will think, say, and do have already been determined as though we have no choice in the matter. That is nonsensical because God has given us free will and choice (it is an unalienable right)! Predestination has everything to do with where we will end up and what we will receive when we arrive and is already reserved in heaven for us, but not based on anything we can think, say, or do; rather, our destiny and future inheritance has everything to do with what Christ has already done for our redemption. “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” (Ephesians 1:11).

Romans 8:30:
Moreover whom {you and I} he did predestinate, them {you and I} he also called: and whom {you and I} he called, them {you and I} he also justified: and whom {you and I} he justified, them {you and I} he also glorified.

A Reserve for Us, for Now – and for Later!

For now (a short commentary supplied): In whom {in God} are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge– Colossians 2:3. God’s hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge are revealed and given to us, His children. These treasures have never been hidden from us but hidden securely in God and reserved for us to be received by our believing.
For later (no commentary needed): Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you- I Peter 1:3-4.” ~LMJ~
