-1: I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
-2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Let us highlight the phrase present your bodies a living sacrifice. This implies that God desires a commitment (presenting the whole person ― wholly unto Him). But why this request? For in doing so we will begin proving to our inner conscious minds that the will of God is so good, completely acceptable, and unequivocally perfect. When we begin committing our lives to God (our bodies, i.e., our very souls), He will then begin proving to us that life with Him is truly spectacular and always rewarding. This is proving what is acceptable unto the Lord that we read about in Ephesians 5:10.” ~LMJ~
