Repondez S’Il Vous Plait (RSVP)

Revelation 3:20 records these precious words of Jesus, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. In the biblelands, in the culture that Jesus was raised in, whenever they would have a close, personal friend over for dinner, the host always served and waited on his welcome guest. The host would never sit down at the table. This demonstrated to his friend (or friends), the utmost honor and respect he held for them. When Martha served Jesus and some of his followers in Bethany, she was displaying her humble love and respect (John 12:1ff). In the Book of Revelation 3:20, we have a dinner invitation that is even more personal than a close friend because Jesus says that he actually eats with you and you with him ― breaking the traditional protocols to sup with you! He died for you, he must like you, and in truth he loves you and expectedly waits for your RSVP (repondez s’il vous plait, ― please respond).” ~LMJ~

The Perpetual Manuscript of Eternity and Its Fruit

“Folks so very often dispute and refute the words of life, never allowing the words in the perpetual manuscript of eternity to take root and spring to life in the fruitful ground of their hearts, But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit– Matthew 13:23. Oh what a blessing it is to really begin enjoying the fruitful Word of God that will produce eternal fruit that we may share not only with other believers, but with our heavenly Father, divine fruits such as love, joy, and peace. This is the reward that we have, as we are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience– Luke 8:15. To bring forth fruit with patience is to enjoy the benefits of the spiritual fruit for all eternity, because the Word of God liveth and abideth for ever- I Peter 1:23.” ~LMJ~

The Psalmist Wrote:

“The Psalmist wrote: The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart {are} to all generations– Psalms 33:11, and yes, this includes our generation in this day and time. Just mulling the wonderful Word around in our minds and allowing the thoughts of his heart to filter up into our hearts will cultivate godly concepts and produce inspired actions; these are things God not only will never forget, but He will reward our efforts forever and ever.” ~LMJ~

God’s Faithful Calling

Written by Larry M. Jaynes:

God is always faithful to what His Word says, His promises to you are always true, and His calling you into His family is not a mistake. God the Creator of heaven and earth has loved you before time began, you were always in the foreknowledge of His mind, and He has always watched over your life.

God called you, and gave you His Word to rely on in this life and in the life that is to come.

When you begin seeing that God indeed called you into His household by your receiving the truth of His healing Word, then you may claim His Word and all its promises for your own by your very own believing. God’s Word instructs the believer how to believe correctly to receive His blessings and the many promises of His Word ordained and prepared for you before the world began. As the Word begins to permeate the soul as divine truth, so the more abundant life begins to become a daily reality as your walk with God continues growing within your heart along with the spiritual understanding to enjoy it.

I Thessalonians 5:19-20:
-19:  Quench not the Spirit.
-20:  Despise not prophesyings.

The Spirit here refers to the spirit that God gives each believer; it is a part of God Himself Who is our Father and the Holy Spirit. The spirit that we receive brings to our conscious minds that which God has spiritually given to us in His divine and faithful calling. God’s Word is imploring us not to quench, not to ignore and put aside in our thinking and actions, the divine revelations that the spirit can reveal to men and women of heart who believe in the Spirit of the living God.

Verse 20 is encouraging believers not to disregard the prophecies of Scripture, the past, the present, as well as the future revelations of God’s Word. Prophesying is also an in-spirit action, where believers may speak the Word of God by complete inspiration of having God in Christ in their hearts. For instance: “God is faithful in calling you,” this is a prophecy that is based on truth, based on God’s Word, and this prophecy will edify and build up the believers. Thus, prophecy always brings profit into our lives, and we have the God-given right to speak authoritatively on God’s Word once we become cognizant of God’s Word living in our hearts.

I Thessalonians 5:21-25:
-21:  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
-22:  Abstain from all appearance of evil.
-23:  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-24:  Faithful is he {God} that calleth you, who also will do it.
-25:  Brethren, pray for us.

The believers have the God-given ability to “prove all things” that God’s Word gives to us, and as we prove the Word of God to our own satisfaction, then we are to “hold fast” to “that which is good.” When the Word shows to us something evil, then we are to step back away from it, and hold wholly to that which is good.

The result of doing this is that the God of peace may sanctify the whole believer – his spirit, his soul, as well as his body and thus we are preserved blameless from now till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for us – this is a promise that we can hold fast in our minds by our believing. In verse 24, what is it that God will do? He will bring us into the fullness of His faithful calling to be His sons and daughters for eternity.

Then Paul says “brethren pray for us”; this is a terrific lesson of Scripture, to pray for our leaders in the Church, for those who have delivered unto us the greatness of knowing the faithfulness of God’s calling to us.

The Mother – Not Earth!

“The umbilical cord that passes through all humans is the tie that binds all human beings back to Eve, back to the Mother of All the Living, to the creation of mankind in Genesis and there the cord begins and links us to the Adamic race of man. This unbroken cord leads the believer to becoming men and women of God who have a promised, everlasting life above (John 8:23-24), in and with Christ (Colossians 1:13, 3:1). Jesus said, Have ye not read, that he {God} which made them at the beginning {Genesis, chapters 1 and 2} made them male and female {note, mankind was not a single-celled microorganism at the beginning, but from the beginning man was made male and female; and all things continue as they were from the beginning– II Peter 3:4}. For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder– Matthew 19:4-6. And yet man has been trying to separate the two human beings, saying in essence that we came from worms and evolved into mankind or from a prehistoric one-celled organism to the two current sexes and/or from apes to modern man. The principles of evolution imagines mankind can put asunder what God hath done, the world by wisdom knew not God– I Corinthians 1:21, and yet man through his own wisdom thinks he knows better than both God and Jesus because man’s own wisdom cannot grasp the realities of our God or His Word without genuine faith.” ~LMJ~
