It Takes Heart, Commitment, and Courage to Stand and Walk with God

“Many have retorted that ‘Christians only use the Bible as a crutch because they are weak and feeble,’ but I say if that statement were true, then God’s Word would be a crutch that will never break. But it is not an actual true statement, and we can find no Scripture ever referring to God or His Word as being crutches for His children, rather He is our rock from beneath, and our buckler from around and above. I’ll go a step further and point out that the unbeliever’s crutch is not having the intestinal fortitude to accept their personal Savior and receive wholeness to walk with God. It takes heart, commitment, and courage to stand and walk with God day by day, and as we rise up to do so, we will discover that our God is the rock of our inner strength, a rock that we can stand on and one that will support us, and one that will never crumble. Our rock will continuously sustain us through any storm coming from any direction (Matthew 7:24-27). Besides, standing on the rock is certainly safer than standing on one’s own abilities without God and without hope in this world (Ephesians 2:12).” ~LMJ~

  1. Wow! After all I got to a website from where I am able
to actually get helpful data concerning my study and knowledge.

  2. This page really has all of the information I needed about this subject and didn’t know who to ask.

  3. To start with I would want to say excellent blog!

I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I found myself interested to find out how you will center yourself and clear your thinking before writing. I actually have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in acquiring my
thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the initial ten to fifteen minutes tend to be lost just simply considering how to begin.
Any suggestions or tips? Thank you!
    Hi Kenneth,

Thank you for contacting us, and for the compliment, it is appreciated greatly!

Now to your question and concern:
I often tell myself that if I could not write, then I do not think that I could breathe. I could not read until my early twenties, and writing came much later, but once I got started it just got easier as time passed by. Every day I set out to write only one paragraph, that’s it, no more, but then I go back to yesterday’s paragraph and low and behold I see it more clearly and often I can divide that paragraph into two or more. Then the next day I come back to yesterday’s and again it happens. A week later I not only have my seven original paragraphs, but two or three dozen, and on and on it goes.

Being consistent is key! Just try and make a general sentence on your chosen subject, and then add to it and before too long you will have a paragraph, and the minute you have that complete, walk away from it until tomorrow.

I’ll close with my three favorite “snippets” about writing.

The Bane and Joy of My Life
“The bane of my existence is editing a paragraph over and over again; the joy of my life is to finally read the completed text in the comfort of my home and then share it.” ~LMJ~

I’ve Been Asked – What is the Greatest Thing You Ever Wrote About?
“That answer is easy, it’s what I’m working on today; nothing is as great as the present now. What I wrote yesterday only helped me build for today, and this just may be the last thing I ever work on, so I’m giving everything for now; tomorrow will take care of itself. In my mind, the past is the past and nothing ever happens tomorrow, it all is happening right now (Matthew 6:34).” ~LMJ~
